we booked return tickets 6 weeks ago on flybmi.co.uk site from Manchester to Bordeaux,4th-8th Sep 08. We were going to drive from Edinburgh but two weeks ago decided to fly Ed to Man. We then booked the Man. flight with flybmi.co.uk as well. Two days ago BMI emailed us. The flight from Bordeaux now leaving 4hrs55mins later than original booked. Our Man.to Ed. connecting flight would be leaving before we arrived in Man. I phoned to ask for a refund for both flights. BMI said the Bordeaux flight (our first flight) was booked with a different company and as such could not refund our Manchester to Edinburgh flight (the connecting flight). Turns out the flybmi website transferred us to BMI Baby to book the Bordeaux flight (the one that was now 5 hours late). Would you believe it they are separate airlines!!!!! ‘COMPLETELY DIFFERENT’ they say. Because the flybmi website redirected the flight inquiry for Bordeaux to another company entirely (BMI Baby) without my partner being aware, she has booked with two different Airlines. A rule that ought never to be broken when dealing with connecting flights. There was no apology no concern, just unbelievable arrogance and unwillingness to consider that they might have some responsibility for the confusion by redirecting unsuspecting customers. They offered a credit note for delayed flight, but no refund as the flight has to be delayed by 5:00 hours (our delay 4:55). How convenient for them and bad luck for us. We get no refund or credit for our connecting BMI flight from Manchester to Edinburgh, now unusable - £140.00. We also have the stress/cost of arranging new flights with Easyjet, from Bordeaux to Edinburgh. Ha ha, I wonder if they might transfer us to Ryanair or other completely different Airline if they can’t help. Hope you understand how idiotic it makes BMI and BMI Baby look and really hope you can put some pressure on them to sort out their systems and offer us a refund and an apology.
Kind Regards John

Fly maybe, typical it's all you can expect from such a poorly run airline. I will not fly with either company/airline again. I had a very similar incident. They were totaly unconcerned, offered no support, could not have cared less. It was typical customer relations you might expect from a company that operates with no effective competition, treated me as if they really didnt care. You know what? they did'nt. Took my money and stuck up two fingers.
