**Excess Baggage In Depth Information**

Can any one tell me what is the baggage allowance for Thomson flights 15 or 20 ?

The allowance for Thomson flights is 20kg. in the hold. But that my change on a whim!!!!!!!!!!!

Baggage allowance should be given on the flight tickets so I would check tickets to ensure you have correct allowance for your particular flight. If not on tickets email thomson and ask them directly and then you have a confirmation to show staff at check-in desk.

Long haul 20kg. Short haul 15kg. Thats what the website just told me when trying to book a holiday.
Definitely check with them, you don't want to get stung for excess.

This is correct now. Some package holidays are 20kgs in as part of it, but standard now is 15kgs with an option to pay for more at an extra cost.
*Update*
Thomson appear to be the only one that does this direct, although flying with Monarch charter flights (flight code MON) includes 20kgs at present.
Booking direct with Thomas Cook from what ive seen lands you with the bog standard 15kgs.
Please do check when booking as the excess levies are now extortionate to the tune of £9+ per kilo. Ryanair is £15 p/kg.

Update for Jan 2010.
Thomson Cruise passengers get 23kgs checked and 5 handluggage instead of 25kgs checked and 7 hand.
Jet2 are currently leading with the baggage on shorthaul at 22kgs plus 10kgs handluggage.
