Has anyone used the lounge at Gatwick, we are going from there in June and I want to know if it's worth spending the extra cash.

Check out www.BHX.com as there are lounge facilities at Birmingham Airport. Children are only accepted from age 12. You can get an instant quote on the web site.

As i have no tickets. Do I get something through the post or just the online printout of what I have booked? Or do they know by my flight ticket that I have upgraded

Depending when you booked and when you going depents if you will get tickets or if they get picked up at the Airport, TCook send there holiday Tickets by post.
for the VIP Lounge as far as I am aware you will get the tickets / pass for it at the Checkin Desk.
Priority Boarding usaly works by the annoucenemnts, and you would be first to be called up for the flight (i.e. when they announce young children and disabled people to board first)
