i had the exact same problem. i booked with them online and it stated that if the tickets are available i will receive a confirmation email, which i didnt. so i went on to book my tickets elsewhere, and a couple of days later i received an invoice in the post for the whole amount- which had already been debited from my account!!!
when i rang them their staff were incredibly rude and just refused to understand of accept any responsibility.
in the end i had to cancel my other tickets as they took 50 cancellation charge per ticket which was better than the 100% cancellation charge southall travel were demanding.

Does anybody have any good experience of this company? They are so much cheaper than anybody else I can find, and cost is most definitely a factor in my decision, but this thread doesn't sound good!

I have to say i have not had any bother with Southall Travel and i have used them three times now, they certainly were the most reasonably priced i could find and the flight times were very suitable. I would use them again.

SOUTHALL TRAVEL ARE CON ARTISTS. I made a booking but within 24 hours needed to cancel for unforeseeable reasons. When I called to cancel they told me it was unrefundable. I repeated their terms and conditions to them and they told me the airline does not refund prices. I contacted the airline directly and they did in fact offer refunds.
I phoned Southall Travel again and told them I have spoken to the airline and all of a sudden they told me I can get a refund but it would cost me £75 charge (dispite the website stating £60). I only accepted the £60 charge and they agreed. Then later calling me saying one of the tickets would have a charge of £160 as the ticket was already confirmed. When asking for proof of these "airline charges" the woman on the phone was very rude and stating they were only refunding in the 1st place as a favour!!
She refused to give her last name and got very aggressive when asked to speak to management. I would not recommend Southall Travel to anyone after this experience.
