Have also posted on another thread-anyone experience of this company ? They have my money for a flight I now can't go on and refuse to hand the money back. their agents are spectacularly aggressive and obstructive. Am now contacting ABTA but wondered whther anyone else had a similar experience and had any advice.

at the time of booking its adviseable to check what the cancellation charges are.
There are some companies who charge !00% cancelation fee--ie; tickets non refundable.
This is how they make the money but if you can travel the ticket was probably the best price at the time.

Check what the cancellation policy is as ABTA will ask the same thing.

another option is a consumer radio station--west midland radio--08453009956--ed doulan--they help with consumer problems live on air.

I was promised a Flight by Nationwide airlines but when the ticket came it was for Ethiopia airways and the flight is to long for my sick daughter etc so what do I do? Please help and I was initial told the flight I want and saw on the website was not the there on that day and was given an alternative the Nationwide airline which turned to be Ethiopia air ways and the tickets total is 84% less that the amont of money actual taken from my debit card or quoted.

Im having the same problem. I need to change the date of my flight and they claim the ticket is non-refundable and non-transferable. This was not mentioned at any time during the purchase of the ticket, it is nowhere in their terms and conditions, it is not stated on the e-ticket or on the confirmation. i have spoken to 6 people there, three of which say I can change the ticket but never do anything about it, and three who wont do a thing. And you can never get hold of the persons who said yes. Im taking this to the top!

Never, ever, ever use.

I was just going through the site where i read this review of yours. i am kind of a bit dissappinted after reading this. i even had a problem but the mangement sorted it out for me with in an hour. it is just to get to the right person. i suggest you to call them or email them . i am sure they will help you.

we have also had an horrific experience with these people , they are extremely unprofesional and behave in a smug arrogant manner , they were extremely nice when we were looking for a holiday , very curtious and it seemed like nothing was too much trouble. then the minute they had our money it all changed, oh my god , they acted horrible , very smug ignorant and extremely rude , a complete contrast to when they were bamboozeling us to buy off their company , they even tried to charge �230 pounds to add a name error of an exsisting customer to our tickets, we will never ever ever deal with these horrible rude people ever again , please dont use them as they basically laugh in your face when you ask for your documents of insurance and your electronic tickets and they actually goad you to fall out with them on the phone so they can cut you off if you were to fall for their rude ploy.

They are not at all profession: NO, NO, NO It's too much for them to put them in a comparison with word professional. They made my wedding hell for me and caused me to buy another �875 + �500 which they had already nicked from me � they were rude and selfish.

My experience with them is also very terrible and HORRIFIC . They are ignorant, rude, egoistic, selfish and stupid. I booked a ticket with them from online and then they said I can not book online and have to book on phone and when I finished my booking with them phone they never bothered to what I need to travel visa, insurances, etc. they just send me the tickets and charged me for register post even. When I called them on suspicion that I might need a visa to travel via Europe and I called them several time and they said all the time NO NO NO you do not need a visa as it is transit. However, the situation was different when I reached at airport and told that I can not board plane as I required visa � even on airport when I called them, they told me no no no you do not need a visa and when I told them that airline say I do then they try to put the blame that it is me and my passport and not at all them who infact should be the first point of this sort of information. They made me call on 0870 number which cost me a lot and what they all tried to do just to hypnotize me that its my fault and not them, they denied all sort of responsibilities including that I need to be informed by them for what I need to travel when they book my ticket having all my details (AT THAT TIME THEIR AGENTS WERE JUST WANTED TO GET MY BANK DETAIL).

I WANT TO GET MY MONEY � HOW CAN I DO THAT � PLEASE
PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THEM � PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

Southall Travel are a disgrace!!! I booked to go to South America with them. I requested 2 changeable tickets valid for 6 months minimum.
I specifically purchased the ticket with them becasuse they offered me a suitable price for exactly what i wanted.
They were very polite with me when booking (although the paying procedure was a farce - long story). However, once over there I found it impossible to change my ticket because Iwas not able to get through to the airline Varig anywhere in the world. Southall Travel washed their hands of me saying they couldnt help me. To cut a very long and stressful story short, I managed to change the tickets through help from Air France(!) only to then find out that the tickets were only valid for three month and not six months. This means that we have lost one ticket as my partner is still over there and not yet ready to return.
I have explained this in a letter of complaint to Southall Travel and they have replied saying that they are not at fault and unless I have evidence of my case then that is the end of the matter.
How would I have evidence of the validity of the ticket???? That is something you are just told over the phone. They should have the phonecall recorded but will that evidence be obtainable??
Southall Travel are a disgrace! Please do NOT book anything with them!!!!!
