How many of you have booked a holiday or a flight only with Thomson/Portland expecting to get 33" seat pitch and seat back entertainment, only to discover that they'd reviewed the plan and you were in fact going to travel on a smaller plane, minimal seat pitch and drop down screen?

We just flew with Thomson to Crete. Yes it was only a basic plane with a drop down screen but all was as expected and absolutely excellent service. Mind you its only just over 4 hours, maybe on a longer flight it wouldn't have been so comfy.

The 33'' pitch and PTV's applies to long haul flights only
Charter aircraft are in a dense configuration with ceiling mounted tv screens.
If a long haul aircraft has a tech problem and cant operate, they may have to draft in another carrier to get you to your destination with a different aircraft type other than specified originally.
