koral blue airlines

I have booked a holiday with thomas cook, to egypt, and they sent a letter to say they had changed the airline to koral blue airlines, I was quite annoyed as the letter said this airline has no duty free, no inflight entertainment and no alcohol. I always buy duty free on the plane, i love my inflight movie as i hate planes and it speeds up the flight. I was annoyed as i feel i pay to have inflight entertainment. It also my honeymoon so a bottle of champagne would be nice, but they have no alcohol served. I had a look at reviews on the net and the airline sounds awful on trip advisor, so i phoned up thomas cook operations centre, where not only was i shouted, they also accused me of been racist apparently i do not want to fly with an egyptianairline. I was stunned. I was absolutly appalled by this comment, if i was racist i would not be going to egpyt i also explained myboyfriend is half german half jamaican so i definately am not racist. I have been to egpyt 4 times and going there for my honeymoon. they ended up swapping me onto a monach flight in manchester, which will now cost me travelling up there as i am from birmingham. They will not give any money for this. The deputy manager i spoke to at thomas cook operations even admitted there was no way she would fly with koral sea. and when i then told her manager that she was screaming in the background you slag i did not say this. I always go on holiday with thompsons, i have never ever had a problem with thompsons, and after my experience with thomas cook i will never ever ever be going with thomas cook again!!!!

Trust me, you made the right choice even if it costs you to get to Manchester. I returned from Egypt today with Koral blue and the flights were horrendous. Dirty old aircraft that smell of stale tobacco. worn carpets, no passenger announcements, insolent crew that don't understand English, not to mention the lack of duty free / in flight entertainment and no alcohol on sale. I asked for a cup of water and was told I couldn't have one! I have travelled around the world on many airlines based in many countries and can honestly say this was the worst experience ever. This was my first package holiday for 10 years, ( I usually arrange my own) and will be my last. Never again will I use Thomas Cook - Dreadful!!

I flew to sharm el sheikh with Koral Blue on 7th July from Bristol, returning 21st July. AVOID THIS AIRLINE. The crew are rude and unhelpful, speak hardly any english and on both flights they roped off the front four rows and went to sleep for over two hours, one of them remaining asleep for the landing. The plane is old, smelly, dirty. Many of the seats are broken and won't stay in position, the meal trays were filthy with old food stains and my daughter's seat belt wouldn't stay fastened. On the return journey from egypt we were given one small plastic cup of liquid for a six hour flight and were told that was all we were allowed. There is no possibility to buy refreshments and no entertainment. The plane is very old and I did not feel safe. The toilet had no paper provided and soon wouldn't flush. Thomas Cooke should be ashamed to subject their customers to such treatment.

I felt compelled to write this after an AWFUL return flight from hurghada to birmingham with koral blue yesterday because if it deters anyone from flying with them it's worthwhile.
The flight was a thousand times worse than anything I've experienced before in over 20 years of foreign travel. The overall standard was appalling -food I wouldn't have given to a dog, the plane itself should have been condemned -seats falling apart and dreadful quality of interior ******, the crew were extremely poor -obviously didn't want to work, spent all their time chatting then had an argument between themselves at one point.
The leg room -I presume airlines have to abide by set limits on this- but it just felt like a cattle truck. I really feel this airline should be closed down -what can be done ? If you can possibly avoid it, do -and COMPLAIN ! When are we British going to learn that unless we speak out nothing will change. I intend to contact my tour company on Monday to do so.

I have just returned from Hurghada on 1 August with Koral Blue and it definitely lives up to it's reputation! It was filthy and, seeing as the ****** door spent more time open than shut, very unsafe. I was particularly unimpressed with the lack of safety instructions and the way that the panels holding the oxygen masks were taped shut so would not be able to open! I would also like to thank them for the stomach upsets we started with 12 hours after eating the in flight meal. I will never again travel with Thoomas Cook who portray themselves as a reputable tour operator whilst putting people's lives at risk on unsafe planes when they know full well that there are problems (they told me that they had had a number of complaints when I spoke to them before the flight). I would advise anybody travelling with Koral Blue to paay as much as they have to to not fly with them - it will ruin your holiday.

Ok where do i start!! when i found out i was flying with koral blue on the 8th of august i decided to look them up and read the reviews on two different sites,
Being a nervous flyer i was horrified to see these reviews to such an extent that my wife and i almost cancelled our holiday and lost everything.we even phoned the C.A.A and the Ministry Of Transport to ask them to investigate, Thomas Cook said they were safe and would pull the airline if the reviews were so bad this didnt install confidence with me either. in the end we went armed with a camcorder and this is what we found...
Once on board there was a stale tobacco smell and the seats were a bit shabby (but all worked perfectly well ) we asked for extra leg room and it was given to us at no extra cost by the emergency exit doors. just before take off the crew came round and asked if we knew how to opperate the doors and were fit enough to do so.
One idiot on the plane pulled a cover off the door that encased the release leaver and the crew were over him like a rash and the captain refused to take off untill he was removed from the seat. once in the air after an hour the crew came round with a drink coke, water or juice (all free) then once all had been served diner came round this consisted of a hot meal it was choice between chicken or beef a bread roll butter and a chocolate mouse and a tub of mushrooms and olives 7/10 then we had tea or coffee this was topped up 3 times then about an hour before landing they came round again with another drink pop water or juice. on the way back it was pretty much the same except we had sausage egg and potatoe 2 bread rolls cheese and butter and a strawberry mouse to eat , the landing was a bit of a jolt and they had a bit of trouble with the stairs not being able to fit at the end .
overall it was not a great flight but it was a good flight the crew were pleasent and seemed helpfull downside is there is no inflight entertainment and no duty free on board up side dont pay for extra bagage allowence they do 20kg for free, if aske would i choose to fly with them the answer would be no because of the duty free and no entertainment but if i found out i was flying with them again it would not bother me! remember they have 200 passengers on a flight and how many trips they do a week i dont know but when you only get a few complain you have to wonder if its right i hope i have put the record straight for future flyerson this airline and i hope more who flew on it share there experience too

I agree i booked with thomas cook and was told later i would be flying with koral blue, originally had paid for extra baggage for 5 people at £15 per head and for 5 inflight meals due to the time of travel.once told about this airline looked up on internet as i am also a nervous flyer and found meals and 20kgs was standard with airline.i wasnt paying for something everybody gets so i tried to call thomas cook who i could never get through to so called the CO OP who i made the booking with who were helpful but couldnt resolve it.thomas cook wouldnt speak to me direct but told the co op it was only people that paid for the meals and extra baggage got it.this was an utter load of cr*p as i thought it would be, all passengers got a meal and 20kgs as standard.we did check and got it in writing from a crew member.the rep wasnt helpful just said i know we keep getting complaints about this ,write when you get home.i have, no reply yet and wont hold my breath.any advice of how to get my money back ???????
koral blue was disgusting and i would of been unhappy at the meal even if i hadnt paid for it !!!
on the plus side for koral blue...we were changed and put on cairo aviation on the way out due to the koral blue plane having a problem,if you think koral blue is bad these should be grounded ,some of the seats were missing altogether ,the toilet didnt lock the overhead locker thingys didnt close and the smell was as if it had just transported camels to birmingham.
thomas cook never again !!!
