xl cause price increase

In this time when many of us have lost our holidays due to the collapse of XL not everyone in the travel industry is sympathetic to the holiday makers plight. We had car parking booked through Holiday Extras for our holiday booked in October and because we had taken the no ammendment option as it was £30 cheaper and we had no intention of cancelling they will NOT even as a good will measure move our booking to February let alone give any refunds. Obviously we did not want to cancel our holiday and feel Holiday Extras are being very unreasonable and are persecuting the consumer for the collapse of XL. They tried to blame BAA who owned the car park, as they said it was their fault as they would not allow any booking changes but when contacted BAA would have been happy to change the booking but could not because we had booked through Holiday Extras. When contacted again we were told by Hayley the team leader at Holiday Extras, that even if the airport had burnt down we would still be charged!!!!!!!!!!
Holiday Extras are profiting out of this dismal situation and have lost a customer who uses airport parking frequently.

Has anyone else noticed that since friday the price of flights with thomsons and thomas cook have gone up quiet a lot!!!
i usually book flight them accom seprate but it actually cheaper for a package, anyone know why??

But this is the point, you pay extra for flexibility. But in the unforseen circumstances they are within their right not to issue refunds or change anything as you chose none flex to save cash and they use this to their advantage even though it costs nothing to change dates.
Its sad i know...but now i always pay extra even if i dont need it to cover my back incase of problems

Those who booked flight only who cant get refunds will choose the same again as their accom will be already booked up. People fortunate enough to be covered by ATOL will get a refund and can therefore rebook a package but the main targets are the large majority thats gone flight only. As if prices wernt high enough already for summer, it just shows how penny pinching they can be.
