I have been twice, and each time I have bought my tickets when I got there. The exchange rate is so good at the moment. If you don't plan to hop from park to park, then don't bother with a hopper. You can buy a ticket on the gate cheaper than you can get into any of the theme parks in England. When we go next year, I will just be buying my tickets over there as usual.

If it's your first time, take the advice and go to SeaWorld. It's just brilliant for both adults and kids. Loved it so much, we went back on the free day that they sometimes give you.

If you are worried that the good rate of exchange won't last until December, get your money now and put it somewhere safe!!!

Given the good exchange rate at the moment, I was thinking of buying WDW tickets for our trip next year direct from WDW website, paying in $. However, I undestand that there may be customs/import duty to pay.
Has anyone come across this? Do you know how much would it be likely to be? and would it still work out any cheaper?

Yes you should buy tickets before you go.All you need is the 7 day Premium Disney tickets.Adult costing 147 each from reputable UK vender.ABTA covered.Travelrepublic.co.uk These Tickets would more then give you anough to do,check them out. They spin out 14 days after first use.You can get the Universal ticket at only 56 as well, that gets you 3 days entry and plenty to do here as well.

Lots of people`overbuy` tickets and they find they can`t get around everything no matter how well they think they`ve planned.

We`ve been 11 times and have learned over the years how to fit lots in without breaking the bank.

Good luck.You will love it.

about to buy my Disney tickets at last (going DEC) tried all the web sites suggested .The best I've found is onlineflorida.com there part of ABTA.
i found Disney 7 Day Premium Ticket is 145
Disney 14 Day Ultimate Ticket 153
i only want 7 days but its got to worth 8 for the flexibility of having the hopper option.my daughter wants to do sea world and discovery cove . im not sure if weather going to be good enough to do discovery cove so leaving that for the moment. (gettng mixed messages about weather some say shorts others say scarfs and gloves so think ill take everything).
let me now if anyone has any tip

the best deal i have found is... 14 days for 148 on florida-magic-tickets.co.uk but the way my family and i do it is by buying of the same company everytime - orlando-ticket-deals (had no problems) and they have a price match so even if you find it cheaper they refund the difference.

hope this helps

We will be going in August and have heard different things from different people.

However, a LOT of people have told me to buy them when I am over there, just not from Disney !!

What I have noticed is, that as Brits, we seem to be be charged more than tourists from anywhere else !!

Try going on Disneys own website and looking at pricing if you are, say, a US citizen. Then try a citizen from a random European country or random South American country. They are ALL cheaper than if you put your details down as UK.

I have e-mailed Disney over this and the best I got off them was that they have different pricing for different countries.

I thought we have a special relationship between us and them?? Its special alright - they charge us most !!
