| There is a good web site I think it is called visit Florida, if you type that in you should get lots of info.
As for fireworks, they are very different in magic kingdom to epcot, but both very spectacular. I think the difference is that in magic kingdom you will be surrounded by children, whereas epcot appears to appeal to more of an adult audience. The spot to see fire works in magic kingdom is in main street and in epcot just about anywhere around the lake.
I hate shopping so avoid the malls, I know there is some pretty big ones near Orlando.
I suppose how much more you can do depends on whether you are hiring a car. Some pretty good air boat rides about 20 miles away, look for the one at Boggey Creek, you can visit Cape Canveral and some pretty good fishing boats go out of Port Caneveral, Kennedy Space Centre is worth a visit, beaches on the Atlantic side you can do in about an hour from Orlando, Daytona, Cocoa Beach.
If you are interested in wild life you could visit Merrill Island, from there you can view the Manatees, and for really beautiful gardens go to Leu Gardens in Orlando and visit the old colonial house.

| All around the lake are countries from across the world, so Mexico, Japan, China, UK, Africa, Morrococo, Canada, France the rest I cannot remember, each area has a restaurant, so if you go to France you eat French food, Japan for Japanese, however when you go into Epcot you need to find guest services it is not far from the entrance, and you need to book your lunch and dinner otherwise you will not get a meal.
When we went in May we got into the park as soon as it opened headed straight to guest services and only one place could fit us in for lunch and only one area had availability for dinner. They have a board just inside guest services that tells you which restaurants still have place, and then you book your table with one of the members of staff.

| Florida is just magical anyway and to be quite honest i don't think it matters where you watch the fireworks, they will be magical.
I shopped at Beltz, which had a fantastic selection of shops, but i bet you will be so busy at Disney, Sea world, Wet n Wild etc that shopping will be the last thing on your mind!! Have a fantastic time.

| Hi, best shopping is at Millenium Mall, Fashion Mall, Premium Outlets, Florida Mall, Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Walmart and Burlington. With a mix of these you'll get everything from designer to chain store! Don't take a lot of clothes and shoes with you as there are lots of bargains to fill your case with and you don't want to pay for excess baggage as they are very strict.
Pre-purchase your theme park tickets in the UK as you get a better deal. We got 7 day ticket to Busch Gardens(including transport form Orlando) and Sea World on the Sea World website for $89 pp. Plan before you go which theme parks you want to go to and remember that each one can easily fill 2 days! It's a lot of walking so you do need to have some days just chilling out.
As well as the theme parks the Gulf coast is lovely and relaxing with warm calmer sea than the Atlantic coast. We like Clearwater beach with its wide white sand beach and lots of great bars and restaurants.
The weather is always better early in the morning as by late afternoon there is always a chance of a thunderstorm from June-September, due to the humidity building up during the day.
Have a great time!

| Hi there,
We came to Orlando August 2007 and had the most wonderful time.
1) I used a book for our trip called A Brits guide to Orlando 2008 (as we're from the UK!) by Susan Verness and it was very very helpful. Included is the option to pay for a plan for you to be made, based on your preferences, flight times and how long you will be in Orlando. I must say it was well worth it. We managed to do all the Disney parks, all of Universal, Busch Gardens, Seaworld and lots of shopping. I would highly recommend this book and paying for the plan. (It was around £20/$40?)- there are also discount coupons in it for shopping etc.
The plan gave us the opening times of the park, when best to visit and what time the fireworks & shows will be. (we stayed 2 weeks and it covered a lot!)
2) We saw fireworks from Epcot and it was spectacular by the lake. Although if you want a seat on a bench etc make sure you're there early! There are lots of places to eat- howver we found the best restaurant to be Wolfgang Pucks at Downtown Disney (a short drive away)- this place and the restaurant are absolute gems!! Definitely worth a visit. Good for shops and fun in the sun.
3) We visited the outlet malls a few times and found some great designer shops with such a mix of different things. Off International Drive I believe are the Premium Outlet Mall......the book I mentioned in answer 1 has a lot of info regarding shopping.
4) Have a great time! If you're a thrill seeker, I recommend a ride on the Hulk at Universal Studios. We loved our time in Orlando so much that we have booked to re-visit in Sep 2009.
Things to try.... Discovery Cove for a swim with the dolphins?....or you coud try a swim with the manatees.
We were really impressed with Seaworld. The people who work there obviously have a very strong bond with their animals which was touching to see...and the shows are great!
I hope this helps you.
