Cant say Ive been to Florida (Yet!) However with the exchange rate being as good as it is you would do better buying over the Pond.
Im sure you would find something suitable as there seems to be malls everywhere.Maybe you could find out what shops/malls are in the area then check their website for an idea of what they do in your size.

Hi,
It does not even depend on where you go, there are Malls (huge shopping centers) everywhere most have standard stores like J.C.Penny, K Mart and River Island to designer stores.

On all shopping it is about 1 to 1$ with cothes being the best buys.

If you are going to Orlando there are several major outlet on I-drive,
In Tampa you have Ventura Mall, and in Miami Sawgrass Mall which boast of 680 shops.

Your hotel will have hand out brochures for all local outlet, & do use any coupons you find for the discount, everyone does.

Shops like Gap and named shops tend to have their sizes in sml, med, lrg and xl and xxl so on.

My advice would be to try everything on. Twice. US sizes are so misleading. You think you are a medium and then find out you are in a large... omg the shock ;o)

There are outlet malls in abundance, and to be honest they all sell the same stuff. Google outlet centres in Orlando. Should give you some idea on the shops.

If you just want everyday t-shirts and that kinda stuff I would try those.

For something more fashionable you can try the Malls. The Boutique style shops are great... I spent 4 hours in The Mall of Millenia. Google it and you can find all the shops and then do as Honey Bunny said, check out the websites for them.

Happy shopping :o)

Bex. (Tenpin you beat me to it xx)

Dont forget though there is a limit on what you can purchase I think it may be 250 quid (not sure), so if you go over just take all the new tags of and pretend you've had them ages.

'Duty free' allowance is 145 per person.

I guess it depends how much of your holiday you want to spend shopping.

I recommend the store Torrid in the Florida Mall (Orlando, though tthere are probably other locations in FL) They have really nice plus size clothes, not frumpy in the least =]
