Riu Oliva Beach - Query

Postby mrsm on Sun May 04, 2008 1:20 pm

We recently booked a holiday to the Oliva Beach hotel - when going through the process the website informed me that the hotel does not accept bookings with children under the age of 16. We can't find any other information to state that the hotel is adult only during certain periods, but if so it will be an added bonus for us!

Does anyone have any info on this please? Thanks!

Im not so sure about it being an adult only, Ive read reviews from families and have seen families there in the past.
However on the plus side you are located on the most beautiful beach you will probably every see.
There is a mini train and taxi's which will take you into the centre of town and back from there (we found this out after walking the whole way!)

Thanks honey bunny - yes I was a bit confused about the age restriction as the brochure and reviews don't mention it!

Thanks for the other info very useful, we were planning to go into town by bus but the mini train sounds good too.

Thanks again any more advice will be much appreciated!

Riu Oliva Beach - Query

To be honest I havent been there for a while , the waterpark wasn't even there in 2002 so it could have changed quite a bit since then. I know there has been a lot of new hotels/apartments built more recently as some relatives visited about two years ago and we saw pics they took.
Also the Rui Olivia hotel wasnt an all inclusive then either but I do remember a lot of Germans in the area they would just appear naked from the windbreakers on the beach , and we dont know where to put our faces.
I also remember a restaurant in the area called "restaurant Diana " it was the only one near that hotel back then and it was full of Germans and playing German music too. They overcharged us (for foods we never had) so I had to tell them it was wrong (whether it was a table number error or just blatant trying to rip us off i dont know) and I got it corrected.
I remember a really good Italian restaurant that was in the centre but cant remember the name now it may have been Don or Dom something or other but the food was good , they were nice folk and the toilets were like a palace , but Im not sure if its still the same now.
