Coming to a petrol station near you

Absolutely rip off diesel prices. My local petrol station has just put diesel up to 1.22 a litre but unleaded is 1.09 a litre, both have the same tax and duty on them so oil companies must be making a nice profit. How can they justify a price difference between unleaded and diesel price its a wopping 13p or a 11% more difference at my local petrol station and that one is not the dearest in the area.

I will soon be walking. Food will be going up again. I think supermarkets are using the higher fuel prices as a excuse to up prices more than need to be and pick our pockets even more.

Sometime ago, the truckers staged various demonstrations due to high fuel prices. It acheived a delay in the tax going up on fuel. There was talk of the 5 a gallon then but nobody really expected it to be reality.

Is this the point that we should perhaps mention the 10 gallon in the next few years?!!!!

Just another point, the petrol stations are governed by the fuel companies. Most petrol stations make about 2p-3p per litre on fuel. That doesn't pay for the staff. It's all the other bits that you buy that helps petrol stations survive. So please support your local garage as opposed to Tesco, Morrisions etc once in a while.

Anyhow here's a question for you ............
How can you get done for tax evasion if you use cooking oil if you have paid V.A.T on it?

Loads of people mix cooking oil with their diesel, but I have a common rail diesel which you can't use cooking oil in.

Prices have also jumped due to the strike in scotland at the bp we are in falkirk and are only allowed 20 some places it is 10 due to this as well that the prices have jumped people in england may not be aware as it has not been on the news much.Dont want to alarm anyone but that is the reason as well we are 1.19 for unleaded and 1.35 for diesel at the moment i dont drive just saw the price at morrissons or tesco i cant remember.
