| There is a topic in todays paper about Faliraki in Rhodes page49
its saying that now a family-friendly and not a party island.Is this true? any info please.
all so the paper was talking about package hols shortage to hike prices by 12%

| Yes Tiger, 3 years ago the mayor of Faliraki ordered a radical clean up. All the bars, Tavernas and hotels had strict rules to follow. Hence the clean up began. Since then the streets are clean and the bars and tavernas adhere to the strict laws. It is a great family resort now.
The club 18-30 type holiday makers unfortunately now are in Kardamena on the island of Kos.

| We was last there in 2004 and there was no trouble at all , they cleaned it all up after the town officials were disgusted by the lewd behaviour and anticts folk were doing in the programmes such as club reps many years ago. Bar crawls were banned ie organised bar crawls (not going for the odd drink with your mate or family).
We stayed in the Kalithea part at The Esperides Beach hotel which was great, with close proximity to the water park.
I would go back if the price was right but the hotel went all inclusive and expensive for five of us. Waiting for it to go back to Half Board.

| It now sounds a lot better.Some freinds of mine wonted to go but would not as they thought it was still a wild place.I will let them no next time i see them.Thanks a lot

| No, the Mayor wont even allow more than 2 males or 2 females occupy apartments or hotels.
