| What with Waddington air display, Wimbledon finals and of course Silverstone Grand Prix, the weekend is busy for sports fanatics. But there are fetes going on and many weddings planned for today.
Unfortunately, the weather is abysmal. Not like a July weekend should be like at all.
Anyone going far? Ore are we all stuck indoors on this wet and miserable weekend?

| Yeah we've been stuck indoors in the rain. Until this evening.
There's still the everyday stuff going on with the kids. 2 of them are in a swimming gala in Whitby so their dad has taken them. The eldest is in a music concert. I got stuck with that one. I think some matchsticks may be needed (for my eyes hehe!).
Then 2 of them are going on a Youth Day to Ampleforth tomorrow, most of the activities are outdoors, although I think they use the sports hall and swimming pool. I hope it will be better tomorrow for them.
We've got a healthy living week planned at school this week with lots of outdoor activities. Last year the grand finale on Friday got rained off, so who knows if its ditto this year!!

| I watched that little 14 year old Laura Robson win Wimbledon junior title. She was amazing, what a future she's got. I gad tears in my eyes at the end, her little face broke into a wonderful smile, her parents must be the proudest in the world tonight.

| Not too bad a night out tonight. Mild, a little drizzly now and again, but overall quite a nice July evening.
Sunday, they say is rain rain and more rain.

| I was at work yesterday, after work popped to Asda and than went to the caravan for the night/morning. Than today went to an open day before the rain came over. So all good and busy.

| I'm watching the Grand Prix, it's bouncing down there, all having trouble with what tyres to use.

| Great win by Lewis Hamilton, my daughter has just rang to say she's caught up in a tremdous traffic jam coming out of Silverstone.
Federer is in all kinds of trouble against Nadal, and now it's piddling down at Wimbledon.

| I had my hair cut last week, I now have to straighten it, and everytime I step outside, even just to the garage, it goes wavy and sticks out. Just the look I'm after!!!!!
I'm expecting 2 dripping boys back home later.
Me and the youngest played pool today, but everybody had the same idea so we had to wait our turn, then it was only 1 go. I won this time, only just.
I would love a cellar with my own pool table in, then my hair wouldn't get frizzed up and we could play as much as we wanted.

| What a coincidence, I played pool with my grandson. I won, but I had to show him how to hold the cue.

There's actually quite a lot of skill required isn't there, and its hard to teach someone. I saw my dad's friend there and he had a go at helping Connor hold the cue!
I can see exactly where to hit the ball (mathematically) but I often have a problem making it happen.
It keeps us amused anyway.
