| I've just got back from Manchester Airport. Normally in Terminal 2 you could stop and pick up your passengers and off to go....not now.
They make you go into the car park where it's £2 for 1/2 and hour and if you go 1 minute over it's £3.50.
They've done this in Terminal 1 since 2006 but have just started it in Terminal 2 lately.
It's just another way of making money....and lots of it too.

| I think it is a response to the bombings at Glasgow last year, we went right after the bomb incident to Manchester and they had closed the drop off and pick up points and said it was for security reasons.

| Yes I think it did come into force after the incident at Glasgow airport.
However that doesn't mean that they should use it as I liscence to print money.

| It was a major inconvenience for staff too. They let staff buses in now, before we used to have to be dropped off at the train station and walk to T2, and the same for the way back. Passengers used to be dropped off at the outdoor car park near the end of T2 and had to be picked up there.
It was only in september they started allowing certain cars to the arrivals area, but then again precautions are there.
