| Hi
Me and my boyfriend have boopked a holiday in Sidari for next year.
After seeing some photo's online of different things, I'm really worried that when we get there, it isn't going to be as nice as we thought.
Has anybody been to Sidari recently??
What is the main beach like?? Pics I have seen online, don't really show much ...

| Hi Naomi
I have just come back from Paleo and had a wonderful time. We went through Sidari to spend a lovely evening at the Sunset Beach (I don't think it's called that but it's where everyone goes to watch a magnificent sunset - well worth it)
My partner went to Sidari quite a few years ago and it appears that it has grown quite a bit since then. IMO it is a lively resort with busy nitelife - plenty of bars and tavernas. One of our group went there approx 5 years ago and said there were some lovely eating places. She stayed just outside the centre and had a great time. I think that the beach is very close and have not heard any bad reports. If you can manage to watch the sunset I really can say it's great and quite romantic. The beach there is lovely, quite a steep walk down and some good waves.
Not sure when you are going, but just to let you know that at this time of year it is very hot!.
I hope that you have a great time

| Hi Ive been to sidari 3 times now. I would say , as with all places there are good and bad parts! although in general i had a really good time.
I stayed about a 5 minute walk away from the main 'strip' which is full of restaurants, bars and a couple of clubs (with the annoying PR people outside!)
Its very nice there to be honest! but if you wanted a more 'scenic' holiday i would suggest a day trip to corfu town. i went with first choice and booked it through them. I cant remember how long it takes from sidari, i think just over an hour... but it has a really nice harbour and really scenic narrow streets with excellent shops- paritucarly gift shops.
I didnt think much of the beaches but then im much more of a pool person and the pool in our apartments (TONDORIS APTS) was brill... :)
I thought the food prices in sidari were v good ... we ate out every night and had some gorgeous meals for about 20 euros or less each which was a main, a dessert and two drinks... so basically about 16 pounds which i think was really good!
all in all, greeks seem very nice too, very friendly (esp the locals and the people running our hotel!!!)
Hope this helps!
x
