| How about a separate section for holidays sorted by people's interests, sport or activity?

| Tenpin Bowling a really great fun Tournament for all Adult Bowlers in the sunshine of Miami, and staying in a beachfront Hotel.
I bowled in this tourney for ten years winning the doubles for three consecutive years with a German, a Cuban then with an American. And we had a wonderful time. And I am just an average bowler.
This is not only for bowlers, guests or non-bowlers are really looked after with six out of the seven night taken up with Dances, Cruising, Pool Parties, Trip to Dog Track and Bay Side, food and drinks free some nights. Safe shopping just across the road from hotel. Or a Big Mall just 5 minutes away 1$ on bus.
This year it is being held on 7th to 14th May, and is subsidised by Pepsi so great hotel rates. Bowlers $250 and non-bowlers $150.
You can check out the site at www.bowlingamericas.com which will give you full details. Or I will answer any queries you may have. Believe me this was FUN all week.
Note here it is only a fun Tournament for trophies, no cash prises

So Surprised, not more posts.
We love sporting holidays our favourite has to be one we took years ago in New York State, purely by chance. Having flown into Buffalo to see the Falls, a truly wonderful experience, we set out by car to explore the Finger Lakes, seeing a sign that said Kayak's for hire we thought why not, although I personally thought this was a pure Indian Canoe, off we set exploring Clear Pond, yeah right, looked like the Ocean to me. Keeping to the shore it was enchantment itself. We saw so much wildlife, enjoyed the solitude and the clear water, we loved it. Expressing our thanks on returning the Kayak we said we would return the next day for a full day on the ‘Pond' where at the owner told us of nicer lakes nearby and told us no charge for the three hours we had been out, fitted a roof rack on our car and loaded on the Kayaks. Two days stretched into three then four, including a nights stay in his log cabin, not recommended for the faint hearted, again no charge. After five days we had blisters where no blisters should ever be, making the flight home uncomfortable. Three years later we returned for an extended stay, the owner recognized us, and he and his son spent a day with us on Upper Saranac Lake pointing out things we would never have seen. After all this time not certain of all these names but here goes. Long pond, St.Regis pond, Upper and Lower St Regis Lakes, Big Tupper Lake and the best of all for me Cranberry Lake.
Not in everyone's taste, but a truly fabulous holiday.

When this was first posted, I really believed this was a good subject.
Very disappointed that there has been so few replies, what ever happened to all you Golfers, Scuba Divers, Horseback Riders, Hikers and the like, surely some of you have something to add?
