| If this is your first time to hammamet then theses few bits of information might help you. Hammamet is split into 3 main areas,South Hammamet is a fairly new area with large 5*hotel,a long sandy beach and a marina, but not much in the way of entertainment outside the hotels, but the hotels in this area are really beautiful with some of them being Theme hotels, definately something to see.North Hammametis very large with mainly 3 and4*hotels all having the usual tunisian entertainment. There are bars cafe"s,restaurants and gift shops and the beach again is beautiful.Central Hammamet in my opinion is by far the best, the hotels are 3 and 4* and the beach has plenty of activities, taxis to the medina are only a few dinars, where there are loads of shops. The area to head for the nightlife is around the BELAIR HOTELhere there are a few english run bars ,cafes and also a large nightclub called LATINOS.Attached to the belair isCHEERS BAR,which is open from 10am-4am,with music and snacks.the bar is english run and very friendly. LAS PALMAS is also attached to the hotel, much larger with a large terrace serving english mealsin the day and a disco at night DAWN the owner is very welcoming and also owns LAS PALMAS 2 further up the road whereyou will find more bars and cafes,HACIENDA is another english cafe serving beer, here ELAINE will greet you,who again is english.this cafe is near the eurobar near the safire hotel. :occasion1

| In addition to this info, South Hammamet is also known as Hammamet Yassamine. Going north up the coast is Hammamet Plage THEN Hammamet Centre - this is the town centre and is where you'll find the medina, the Kasbah, and the main shopping area.
