| We have recently booked a holiday to Tunisia, leaving at the end of May 04. We are staying in the Almaz Hotel, Hamment. When booking the holiday I found their website and printed off some great pictures and inforamtion about the hotel. However I have tried to visit this site today and found that the website is closed!
Does anyone have any reviews on this hotel? Or does anyone know anything that I shoudn't ie: has the hotel been closed down (!!?!??!)
I look forward to hearing from anyone with any comments.

| Hi Boot,
Welcome to Holiday Watchdog!
The website seems to redirect to another non related one, however it looks as if the same person/company owns both domain names.
Possibly the site is being reconstructed, or they haven't paid their webmaster/host (tut tut!).
Wouldn't worry too much, I'm sure the hotel is still there. :cheese:

| Hi, we've just returned from the Almaz Hotel in Tunisia...I had absolutely nothing to worry about...
The hotel was fantastic and exceeded all of our expectations! The interior design of the hotel was beautiful and the staff were fantastic. This hotel comes highly recommended and we plan to visit there again at some point.
We booked through lastminute.com and recieved an excellent deal for half board. This is well worth it as the food was delicious and it was a buffet style, which meant as many helpings as you wanted!!!!
We did one trip for 2 days in the Sahara, which blew us away. The value for money was excellent. We paid £72 for two days, including all food and excursions in that time.....we travelled by 4x4 jeep around the whole of Tunisia including the Sahara itself!
Hammamet is a new resort, therefore not all of the surrounding facilities outside of the hotel were complete, but the plus side was that there were few english tourists - which is a good thing for me. To be honest, there was no real need to stray far from the hotel anyway. I am not usually one for staying in the hotel, but as we did the trip and everything about the hotel was fantastic, there was no need to explore.
If anyone is thinking of going to Tunisia, feel free to post a message to me with any questions, I would love to sing its praises even more!
