| I would really think carefully about having a tattoo done in Turkey, I know they dont have the same rigarous health and safety guidelines that the tattoo parlours have to have in the UK, and the hygene standards do leave alot to be desired.
Just my opinion.

| I had a tattoo done 2 yrs ago in Marmaris BUT my husband is turkish and we checked all the guys creds out first, if u do go ahead make sure u check them thoroughly as the other posters are right, some ppl will say they're qualified, clean etc ok but just be wary!!

| My friend had two of hers done in OLU Deniz at adin tattoo studio underneath cruoses, both of hers are fine , healed well and still have great colour to them. He shown her the sealed sterlie needle pack before he used them, also had a autoclave to sterlise his instruments.
But i do agree that Overall general Hygiene standards are not as high as in the U.K.

| Hi everybody!
I was wondering if anyone can help me...
You see... I went to Bitez in Turkey and I got my first tattoo. I really tried to check out the guy who did it, and made sure I saw him doing a tattoo on another person before I got mine.
Anyway - my tattoo is all wrong. I came to him with a drawing that I did and told him not to change a it at all. But he did it anyway - because he thought his tattoo was better!
I don't like what he did - frankly it looks like there is a penis instead of a butterfly. On top of that: After a week as it healed only half of it has any colour! Its all faded and ugly! I've showed it to a lot of people and noone can believe that this guys is allowed to make a tattoo on anyone!
I would really like to warn other people about him - is this the place? He is the only one who does tattoos in Bitez.
Does anyone else know where I can turn to warn people - a place that people can easily find?

| I have had two tattoos done in a tattoo place in hisaronu and both of them are fine, no bother with them at all, and it is much cheaper than gettin one done over here. I can't remember the name of the place but it is on the main street of hisaronu and the tattoo chair is right in the middle of the shop where everyone can see. Me and my mate watched them do a couple of tattoos before we got them done and they always used a clean needle and used the proper proceedures. They were very friendly as well.

| I'm not a fan of tattoos at all, but was amused by one I saw in Tenerife. A lady who looked as if she could get a job as an extra in "Benidorm" the TV series had a large tattoo of a man's name across the small of her back. In a sort of mock gothic script it read KIETH.
Everybody I have seen with the name spells it KEITH. Oops. :-)

| Hi,
I have never had a tatoo however had piercings done in areas which some may think are dangerous and they have all been fine, my friend did however have one and its ace!!! The studio was sooo clean (better than the ones in our home town) but each to their own!

| hi if your not sure about tattoos abroad just look at havana tattoos marmaris this was recomended while i was their and got an amazing united crest with tribal around for 60 pounds and realy more hygenic than some scums ive seen in england uses 100 percent disposable not sterilised stuff guy called adem brilliant
