Haven Complaints

could someone tell me how i could find the complaints procedure for haven, i have filled in their satisfaction form with no reply as of yet, I've had a nasty experience, i rented a caravan that was meant to be superior plus. once inside it was far from it, dirty stained carpets, the table underlay was grotty which i put outside. i thought that the sheets where not changed from the previous guess, but i was assured by reception they were, their famous quote bed made for your arrival, I've just returned from the doctors saying that i have suspected scabies.just if the caravan was like the rest of the facilities my experience would have been 100 times better.

i think havens standards have lowered, as manny have said, like park resorts they only seem to be interested in selling you caravans and getting a lot of money out of you on site.

I feel haven used to stand for something more than this, actually always providing high quality family holidays, rather than now it depennsding on which park you go to and at what week, i mean as a family we went to haggerston castle two years running about 3-4 years ago, but even that has gone down hill since, it seems a shame really considering what haven used to be.

One issue we had at haggerston though was in the first year, we were given a siver caravan rather than a gold, they questioned how we could prove this, and it was that at the time gold caravans were 12ft wide, where as we had only been given a 10ft wide caravan :D

I have had the same experience too, Haven saying it was a Prestige Caravan when infact its not of the standard they state in their brochures, and a manager who fobbed me off no matter what i said. No refund and still fighting for it.
The address to write to to start with is:
British Holidays Guest Relations, freepost BH595, BH15 4BR.
I'm not getting any joy from this address, but if you send it signed for recorded, you will know if they got it. I am now into my 2nd week of complaining and am about to go to the managing director of the partk and the Bourne Leisure company that own Haven.

Clearly their standards have fallen, and I dont recommend to go to Rockley park.

We have just returned from Greenacres near Porthmadog. Not a bad site - generally clean and tidy but like many others on her we found our caravan to be dirty and in a terrible condition - even though it was meant to be luxury plus. We complained and they sent a cleaner but it still looked a tatty mess and it stank of smoke and urine.

Like other people have said they are more concerened with selling vans than offering a quality holiday.

Really disappointed as I spend loads of lovely holidays at Haven as a kid and we never had any issues at all.

Have written a letter to Haven in Hemel Hempstead - not sure if this is the right address. Sent it recorded with photos so hope we will get a reply.

Our weekend cost £211 for 4 adults and 1 baby. Just a few weeks ago we went to Centre Parks in the Lakes - cost £280 for 5 adults, 1 child and 1 baby - was absolutely spot on. In the future I reckon I'll be spending that little bit extra and going back there - Haven was a real disappointment. They need to realise what the competition is offering for not a whole lot more money.

I have a Holiday booked for the 17th- 24th july at haven's clacton-on-sea holiday park the holiday was paid in full by me for my sister-in-law to take my disabled daughter on holiday. After a disagreement with my sister-in-law she has refused to take my disabled daughter so I contacted haven to change the lead name ( sister-in-law )to my mother who has agreed to take my daughter. After speaking to haven they will not change the name without my sister-in-law's permission which she is refusing to do.
After contacting my local citizens advice and them speaking to haven I have basically been fobbed of speaking to different people each time advisers managers etc. each one telling me a different load of garbage.

The end result of this is we have now paid nearly £600 for my disabled daughter to go on holiday and now haven have refused to make the changes so she can go and they will not offer a refund because you can only get a refund if you have a medical certificate.

Never ever will i use or recommend haven again and i would seriously advise anyone booking a holiday with them to make sure they know what they are letting themselves in for.

WOW.... I thought I was the only one with a cleaning issue at Haven....obviously not ! I filled in the form at the end of our last holiday and did get a reply form them and yes they said they would look into it...wether they did remains to bo seen...will have to wait until my next cheap break with the grandchildren to find out. If not I will complain again. We should all complain but of course we are quick to snatch up a mid-week break for 50 quid for 2 adults and 2 kids so feel bad sometimes when I moan but it is what I am good at and I expect standards wherever I am home or away.

i was daft enough to buy a caravan at mablethorpe site thinking its great for kids but did not know it meant yobs. the staff are only botherd about you buying a van until uve got a problem with it then they dont care they already have your money so tough. As a holiday home owner on goldensands haven site i would not recomend anybody going let alone buying one. The lagers normaly flat and the foods cold so its only got papa jons thats ok if you like piza. The police are on site nearly every day for 1 reason or another as well, does anybody know how i can get out of this boy racer derived holiday mess. ps does anybody want to buy a caravan lol.

Haven tut tut tut worse holiday of my life. we went to caister holiday park 20th June 2008. We have a small child she was just one and half, On the brochure the place was on level ground no stairs.Well till we got there that is the stairs were like slopes. the bath floors and walls and skirting were filthy i would not have took my dog there. We also hired cot rail and high chair was not there for us going in there was no linen for us either. total shambles we went and got linen about half 7 at night babys bed time. next day we got up and decided to take our daughter to the pool we got in and within 5 mins my baby lips turned blue the water was that cold even i could not stand the coldness, this was a indoor pool as well. so we lasted 10 mins if your lucky in the pool. Later on that night the wee one had temp and had a wee cough she was fine till we went in pool she also caught conjuctivitous out the pool we were only on holiday for 7 days and after doing a 7 and half hour drive our holiday was ruined. we also went to mash and barell for lunch there was insects crawling all over the place put me right of my lunch walked out of there. then the final one for me was 3 days before my holiday was ended i woke one morning to find all my dining table in chalet was covered in black ants you could not see the colour of the table for them they were down chair legs and everything. so from then we packed our stuff and got the hell out of the place. when i got back to scotland i caled health and safety and borough council. but as always no one seems to get back in touch. Also wrote a letter to haven and all i got back in letter was they were sorry for my bad experience great eh. I will never ever recommend Haven holiday to anyone not even a dog. thats how bad they are.

I have just come back from a haven break in New Quay Wales (not a pleasant expereance), we went with the Sun thought oh well a nice cheapy before winter as my husband has been on short time and I am disabled but by the the time we had up graded to get the comfort and the bedding and the heating it cost us £126 what a rip off. Still we arrived only to find that I am quite sure we did not have the super luxury (prestige) the quilt on the bed was thinner than my cats bed also we found out that we had paid for our gas and electric and the people in another van hadn't. What a rip off. The mattress had got more springs than a trampoline I can hardly walk and I have come back with a terrible cough, only to be told that I should have complained before I left the site, what a laugh they don't want to know you if you are not buying so they have been trained well and I couldn't wait to get out of there.
