Park dean holidays

Holiday Parks

My Husband and I have been to a couple of Parkdean Parks, Sandford and West Bay. We used to go to Sandford when it belonged to Westar Holidays and the improvements since parkdean purchased it are amazing it is now a much cleaner place and the entertainment is very good. West Bay Park we went to twice last year and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We are going to Torquay this year with my daughter and grandchilden so hoping it will be equally as good. We have also been to Mullion and Looe but this was with Westar Holidays so we don't know what it is like now.

I think all the holiday park providers have upped their game over the last few years adn the parks are being modernised or have been. If they are going to take advantage of the increas in people staying in the UK then they need to make sure the facilities they provide are excellent.

I have just returned from a holiday at the Mullion site. We took a touring van with us and I can only say that I have never stayed anywhere with such poor facilities. It's the middle of August so was fairly busy - and yet the showers and toilets were appalling. They were only cleaned once a day - usually about 1pm - this meant that they were filthy by early evening and certainly by the following morning. Toilets were constantly blocked and the chemical disposal point was unusable at least 4 times over the week - this then leaked all over the ground just in front of the toilet block. In the entertainment centre the smell from the toilets was absolutely awful on the two evenings that we visited. I shall never ever book a pitch on one of the Park Dean sites again - we paid £250.00 for a week - the most expensive site we have ever stayed on and the one with the worst facilities. We stayed at Northam Farm in Brean the week before - which was very clean at all times - and we paid 100.00 per week less! I think Park Dean treat tourers as second class citizens yet charge the earth! Avoid at all costs if you are camping or touring.

Hi All. I have just returned from White Acres Newquay and found it to be one of the cleanest, friendliest sites i have visited with fantastic walks, fishing and entertainment. If you want the best deal try one of the many privatly owned caravans and you will get a much better deal, these are available on most Parkdean sites.
