Holiday Parks

I was going to book a holiday with park dean but after looking on here, I'm worried. Has anyone had any good experiences with them? I have two small children, is it suitable?

We're off to Grannies Heilen Hame on Saturday for a week in one of their older Katryn caravans. It's our first try with Parkdean. I'll post a little up to date, review when we return

I went on a Park Dean Holiday two years ago to Chalaborough Bay (? not sure on the spelling) Caravan was lovely and clean, Park was clean, Entertainment was excellent, wasn't many holiday makers mainly owners but all very friendly, the bingo was excellent we had a laugh the whole time and even joined in after a couple of nights with the number calling (Pat from Housekeeping and her husband had us in stitches as did another owner by the name of Ethel). Zed was one of the entertainment fellas absolutely hilarious, Ryan was cute til he had his hair cut but was excellent with the kids! Head of entertainment was a dead-ringer for Paul O'Grady the shows they put on were fantastic, only groan was the fact the bar shut at 11pm when we were just about getting merry although it was the beginning of June still expected a little later in the bar and would of been helpful if the bar staff spoke English ;-) think they were Polish students.

We were right on the beach, although it wasn't sand it was a slate style material that stuck to every inch of the skin we still had a fantastic holiday.

Best part no mobile phone signal so we actually had a holiday!

Downside my little sisters caravan was full of ants, lol to the point she fell asleep on the settee and woke up covered! found it even more amusing when we later found out we had the wrong caravans that should of been ours and ours hers!!!

ems83 as far as the kids club goes, fantastic unlike other Parks we didn't have to stay with them, they went there quite happy and the staff were fantastic with them! Was a long way to travel for us to Devon but well worth the trip away .... no doubt my sister will be here later to tell you about her meal that turned up 30mins after ours and was cold and only half the portion of ours! Needless to say she wasn't impressed!

Just come back today from Mullion camp in cornwall. FANTASTIC had a brand new caravan, clean and tidy good entertainment facilities. We always go with Parkdean and have never had any problems. Haven on the other, we have always had to ask to change caravans as never been given what we've booked!.

Have just returned from Parkdean Sanford near Poole,it was by far one of the cleanest camps we have stayed at.Dogs were onthe camp but I never saw any dog poo,no litter and not a single dogend. We booked the cheepest caravan so expected the oldest caravan,we were very surprised when we found we had been allocated a new 3 bedder. The caravan was not very clean, the kitchen floor was dirty and so was the fridge, but on the plus side there was so much to entertain the children by day and the adults by night it was the best camp we have stayed on.
