| Just trying to see if anyone has had a result complaining to Pontins. We're just returned from the Holiday for Hell. It's been our first holiday for some time and it only lasted 3 days instead of 8. It really was that bad:icon_grrs
Has anyone else complained to them and got a good outcome??

| Have you done anything about it eg writing a letter of complaint, reporting them to your local trading standards of even taking them to court?

| As far as I am aware holiday firms are by law obliged to respond to any letter of complaint sent to them within 28 days of receipt. This may well be just saying they have received your letter and are looking into it.
You should send any letter by recorded delivery and save proof of said delivery.
Do not just moan about conditions or food etc, but state facts only. Read terms & conditions of the holiday fully and point out where they have breeched those terms.
Did you complain while there, if so to whom, and did you get written confirmation, were any photos taken?
This really is a minefield as one persons holiday from hell, is another wonderful time.
A good point to all those unhappy with a holiday booking, start recording while you are there, insist on a written report from reception/ reps take photos, don't wait till you return home before complaining.

Me, my partner and 11 year old son are due to go to Pontins Southport on the 12th of October for 4 nights. i've read lots of revievs and dont seem very happy about going now that i've read them.
Have we got anything to look forward too, or should we just stay at home ??

| I have stayed at pontins in blackpol for several years and have found that the staff respond very well to complaints.
having said that I never had to complain about anything major so maybe they differ from camp to camp.
I would advise while on site to stick at it, stand your ground and they should respond in your favor.
