| Hi, I'm going to Iceland in August 2008 with my family for a week. We are travelling around a little just mainly in the southern and western areas. I'm a little bit nervous about what to expect, what to take for clothing etc - what will the weather be like in August? Will we need very warm coats/gloves etc or will it be similar to say, Scotland? Is it very rainy there?
What kind of food can we expect, especially away from Reykjavik? I am a vegetarian so will this be a problem?
We love the outdoors/nautre/walking/open spaces/being away from crowds of people, etc so hoping this will be a great holiday. Any tips about anything to do with being in Iceland would be appreciated.
Feel a bit nervous as it's quite an expensive holiday.
