Re: icmeler
turkey is lovely, very friendly.
don't over pack your case's... you can buy fab designer clothes for penny's. Plus leather, gold and shoes....
Take all engish money, they love it and will give you great deals for english. or exchange over there better exchange rate.
On the plane ( approx 4 hours) the film will use hour and half. then food time, so i always reccomend pencil and paper, simple games like hangman, nought and crosses, squares, variety is the key. Then they can't get board.
Have Fun

Re: Avlu Apartments - Icmeler
Dont panic about the jabs. I live here and I am still alive and well after nine years in Turkey.
It is really if you are visiting rural areas within Turkey that jabs are really necessary.
Avlu 1 is on the main road coming into Icmeler. Very good position close to Tansas Supermarket. Handy also for Dolmus into Marmaris.

Re: Avlu Apartments - Icmeler
Hi Lesat
We've just come back from Icmeler and we stayed at the Alvaro Apartments which is almost opposute Alvu1. It is about a 5 minute walk to the canal shops and restaurants but the road that you are on has plenty of restuarants.
As you come out of Alvu 1, turn left and the Tanzas supermarket is about 50/75 yards up on the same side.
Opposite your apartments is Bart Simpsons (great for breakfast), Captain Bullshits (mediocre), Travellers Rest (I'll let you make your own mind up).
Still on the opposite side but to the right is Alvaro - it was very good and their evening enterainment which was every night started at 10.00 pm and went on till 12.
There are some good shops if you keep going and then if you keep walking you will end up in The Centre where there are so many restaurants you'll be spoilt for choice.
We went to the Chef and it was one of the best meals we had. It wasn't the cheapest place but it was very very good. Dreamboys (along the canal) is very good as well.
Well I hope this helps you a little. We've already booked to go back next August as it was sooooo good.
Enjoy yourselves - you'll love it.
