There are many good restaurants in Icmeler, the standard is very high. I would recommend the Lighthouse restaurant for good quality food and a relaxing evening with friendly staff. The Venice restaurant on the Canal is excellent for entertainment and there is a play area for children. The food is also very good. The Indian restaurant Taj Mahal is excellent as the chef is from Bradford! and there is an excellent chinese restaurant with open buffet style eat as much as you like for £5.99.
My favourite is Rose Cafe in the old Village were the owner, Rose, invites you into the garden of her home and will cook an authentic turkish meal.
Fantastic!!
Must go and jog now to lose some pounds!

| Depends where you are starting from. However, if you are on the main road in the old village at the bad corner where there is a restaurant and water taps, there is a narrow road oposite the restaurant, just keep walking and you will eventually come to Rose Cafe which is situated on the left hand side.
If you are coming from the centre of Icmeler, across from Cafe Anne on the bridge where the dry canal is, there is a road which divides into three. Take the middle road continue walking and you will eventually pass a small fruit and veg shack, turn right here then middle left and Rose Cafe is on the right hand side. Quite difficult to find if you dont know where it is but ask the guy who sells fruit and veg he will tell you. He doesnt speak English but Rose is Gul in Turkish, pronounced Gool. If you ask for Gool Cafe he will understand. Say Carol sent you and she will look after you well. Her special turkish food is fabulous and she is now learning English so communication shouldnt be too difficult. Anything else I can help with just let me know
Good luck

| Hi Kez
If you know richards bar then continue along this road going into the old village. You will cross over a bridge and there is a restaurant on left hand side. Continue along this road a little further until you come to the restaurant on the right hand side. Opposite this restaurant there is a small village road on the left hand side just before some water taps, go down this road.
Continue along this lane and it will widen and on the left hand side is Rose Cafe.

| No its not near Medsun or Moonlight. Its in the old village, the real old village. So from Richards Bar continue along the main road towards the village and when you are in the village you will turn left just before the bad corner.
Just imagine coming out of Richards Bar and turning right, there is a long main road which goes straight into the village.
Hope this explains it a bit better.

Hope you find it. If not come and see me in the centre and I will give you directions. Im based across from Black Sea Restaurant (please dont ask for directions!!) Ha! Ha!

| We've just returned from Icmeler. Places we ate were Baron, Love Boat, Babadan, Venice, Pyramid, Waterfall. I can honestly say we didn't have a bad meal, the food in Turkey is to die for. My favourite place to eat was Love Boat, it was out of this world.

| If hiring a car and looking for some authentic Turkish Food then try the Cinar Restaurant on the way to Kleopatra Island.
Its fantastic.
Try it day time - beautifully laid out with lots of different areas for eating in a beautiful garden setting with trees, rivers and ponds with fish and ducks.
Authentic Turkish Style with the Turkish Village women making breads on open fires. Beautiful fresh village produce starters (called Meze in Turkish) Fresh fish and village meats.
Definitely a must try.
Dont bother with Menus - when visiting an authentic Turkish Restaurant Turkish do not look at menus. Make a choice of Meze which will be served with hot turkish breads and if you have space left in your tum, try the fish or lamb, then when stuffed relax under the trees on authentic turkish cushions and low tables with turkish coffee.
Better than any restaurant in Icmeler! (And thats saying something)

| My favourite is the Love Boat in town centre. It's so clean and the food is so well presented, and you can try lots of different types of food. You can even get freshly caught battered fish and chips in you like.

| I have heard great reports about the Love Boat and must try it sometime. Always so busy never really get the time to relax out there. Usually just go to the indian or to the Lighthouse which is very good.
Anyway, its January, which is diet month, so stop talking about food!! ha! ha!
