I have found Travel Republic very good as their site shows all flights available from different tour operators. If you could be more flexible with dates and avoid the 2 week Easter break, you'd probably stand a better chance of getting a cheaper flight. Also, be more flexible on departure airport as there are a lot more flights from Manchester and London Gatwick. You can get very cheap accommodation in Goa but April is very hot day and night and I wouldn't like to try to sleep in a non- airconditioned room at that time of year! You also need to purchase a visa in UK before you travel, which is only valid for 6 months.

Unfortunately I can only go holidays term time as I work in a college.
Birmingham is 20 mns away and gatwick is 2.30 mns.
I was aware of the visa as I go to india quite a lot but never been to Goa.
Thanks anyway

Yes, it's not very fair that the prices go so high at school/college time if you're tied to those dates. My daughter got a flight for 170 in January. Keep trying - if you get a visa you may be able to take advantage of any very late availability that most people couldn't because they wouldn't have time to get the visa. Good luck.

Hi Carole
I have a 5 year visa as I regularily go to India but never been to Goa.
I was in New Delhi and Punjab in January and I was only there for 10 nights.
I decided on Goa because i've heard quite a lot about it.

Hi Indokarasan!
I have a lot of guests who regularly come to Turkey and also Goa. They say it is fantastic and the photos look amazing. One of the places I want to visit but just have a problem finding the time at the moment!
South Goa is supposed to be the best as it is much quieter and less commercialised. Let me know how you get on if you manage to get out there.
