Wedding in Mauritius

We're getting married in October in Mauritius and were wondering if anyone has any tips; also are there florists on the Island? - the prices quoted for flowers through the travel company/hotel are pretty extortionate.

Any help appreciated, thanks

I got married in Mauritius last year and had my flowers arranged by the hotel wedding co-ordinator. I think it was about �50 for my bouquet of orchids and around �100 for a floral arch and table flowers but I cant remember exactly.

Which hotel are you going to?

It's Merville Beach, in Grand Baie

Different hotel then unfortunately so I cant give any recommendations about that. Good luck with the wedding though - we had the most amazing day.

Hi, We got married at La Pirogue in Mauritus on 4th November last year. The resort was fabulous and the flowers were all in the package. If you are interested in booking, you should contact John Semple Travel (on the internet) he booked our holiday and resort and wedding and the accommodation for our guests too - it all went so well, everyone loved it. I don't know if it is any help but we were at the Beau Rivage just over a year ago and they had some lovely wedding ceremonies there. Plus there were no mosquitoes which was a very big plus.
The hotel was great with good rooms and service. There were lovely beaches to walk along and entertainment in the evening. I can highly recommend it.
