Which is the best resort/hotel in Goa?

I am thinking of booking a holiday to Goa, but am at a loss as to where would suit me best. Looking for lovely romantic hotel (b&b or a/i) with entertainment, on the beach, but not too remote as I like somewhere to walk in the evenings. Hoping someone can recommend either the best resort (in their opinion) or a pretty decent hotel. Thanking you.
