We are to book Dunmore East for a Holiday. As we have never been to Ireland before can anyone offer advise & suggest sights.
No idea what to expect. This is a family Holiday.

I went to Dunmore East year with my two children and we had a fabulous time. We were blessed with the weather so we spent most of it on the Blue Flag beach which is in the village. There is plenty to do round and about if you have a car. You can take a car ferry over to the next peninsula and there are many castle's etc. Hook lighthouse is a good day out and easily done if you go on the ferry. Ireland isn't cheap i found particularly eating out but the food is usually excellant. The Spinaker bar is great for family meals - all freshly made and no compromise on quality. Proper food for the kids no chicken nuggets but home made alternatives if the children like something relatively familiar. Don't bother eating at the hotal overlooking the beach but you can sit out overlooking the sea with a Guinness!. If you're self catering there's a massive tesco on the way to Waterford. Have a great time.
