| Hi new to cruising and so looking forward to the transatlantic cruise to Brazil in November. Just one little worry, with the airline baggage restrictions and excess baggage charges I hope there is a laundry on board or some facilities for the washing / drying of the smalls etc.
Also any tips on or for the packing for this type of cruise due to the hopefully changing temps?
Thank you

| Hi again. I think our cabin is on the gold deck with an interupted view? Only booked the holiday about 2 weeks ago and have to admit it was a bit of a impulse buy. Just wish I had more details to look at etc. Reading all the other reviews is helpful of a sort. Are you staying over in Brazil, if so do you know the name of the hotel? Obviously wary of the Brazil element but we should all be ok if sensible and in numbers! Speak soon.

| We travelled to Brazil last year on Island Escape. We had a great time but for Air France loosing our luggage, they didnt care a damm. We used a shared taxi to get around to see the sights which are awsome much cheaper than the ships prices. If you use a taxi to see sugar loaf then you can do the two trips together ie;sugar loaf and Christ Redeemer in the same day ask a price first. Where as if you book with the ship its two seperate excursions.
We stayed in a hotel for 2 nights on the front in Rio which was quite nice central for cafes bars etc;
Plenty to see and plenty shops as we neede more clothes for the cruise we found them sharply no hassle no problems just be sensible really. Met some characters from Brazil trying to sell their wares on tourists just sat and watched from a cafe one day we were in stitches watching a guy with a trick glass of beer, people thought he was drunk and spilling his beer on passeres by it was hillerious.
Have a good time

| Hi Bo, thanks for your comments, they all help. Do I take it you flew to Rio before your cruise started? We are sailing from Palma to Brazil, then leaving the ship in Rio to have 2 nights before flying home with Air France. Really looking forward to the adventure.
Thanks again.
