Hi fin, not cruised with this line, but with ocean village, which is an informal cruise also. They just require you to go to dinner in trousers ,and shirt, or Tshirt, but not in SHORTS, which any self-respecting person wouldn't anyway. For the ladeeees, trousers, dress, skirt etc., as you would dress for a night in the pub.. you can go to breakast in your shorts, etc, and for all other food service within the day, ladies to wear a sarong or top to cover their modesty, in the day, in the restuarants.

The dress code is casual - that means that swimwear is OK around the pool and in the ouside Beachcomber area but when going to get food it is required that people cover up - t-shirt & shorts and flip flops etc or sarong.
In the evenings again it is fine to be casual but casual then means trousers/jeans/skirt and top or light summer dresses for the ladies. There is no need to over do it. This applies to both the Beachcomber and the Island. However if you decide that you want to dine in the Oasis which is waiter served then something a little bit dressier is the norm. What you would wear on a meal out at home should be your benchmark. On my recent two weeks cruise there was a ladies night both weeks and whilst some of the ladies did dress to kill these were the minority. There were no dinner jackets in sight but I did see a couple of men in kilts.

The ships photographers have portrait photo sessions and the results of these were excellent so if you want something of this sort then your best smart casual should be packed. The same goes if you want your photo taken with the captain.

It is a relaxed type of cruiise so no one is really looking at what others are wearing - at least not in any dismissive way. If you are clean, tidy and not wearing offensive slogans on your t-shirt you will be OK.

Bring a light sweater for cooler evenings on deck and, on excursions where you are intending visiting religious sights, shoulders and knees should be covered. Comfortable, flat shoes are also essential if you intend doing a lot of sightseeing.

Although I did not use it the gym equipment looked up to date so if that is your thing sweats and proper shoes will also be necessary.

Don't worry about the clothes. Space is fairly limited in the cabins for storage and no one I spoke to felt that the clothes they packed prevented them for taking part in anything whilst on board.

Hi Fin

Having been on the Escape twice before we found informal dress just that , you can wear anything that you are comfortable in although you dont need to over dress ! I found some cropped pants and a smarter tshirt cool after a hot day. M y husband wore trousers and shirt , but very casual.
