| Hi Raychiebabes My wife and I along with my sister and her hubby did a weeks cruise on the Island star,we were in inside cabins but quite comfy for sleeping, showering and changing .my sister is a fussy eater so we chose the open dining option the Star gives, using the Beachcomber Restaurant each meal, its actually more like a self service cafe really, but we did use Island Restaurant once which was a bit grander, Music around pool area was great ,playing 60's and 70's music most of the day apart from when live bands were playing, Also theres a daily afternoon quiz on there and a entertainments team challenge to the passengers each afternoon.each evening in the pub there is a bingo session followed by another quiz, ,and of course theres the shows and comedians in the main theatre most evenings, in the other small theatre the game shows are held nightly, i joined in a few of these and really enjoyed myself, excursions are quite expensive but we did Rome and two others anyway, Drink prices are comparable to pubs in Britain,There is also daily bicycle rides off the ship ,usually to some place of interest 12-14 miles away, all guided and two leaders one for experienced cyclists and one for beginners or inexperienced bikers like me,but for £29 each it was a great 5 hours off the ship.but your backside hurts a bit next day lol.
I'm sure you will enjoy the cruise, just make sure to do a full report for us all
kind regards Quizzer
