| Hello,
Can anybody help me. Booked our first cruise-to go in August on the Escape. Know they sy not to but I have been reading the reviews and there seem to be as many bad as good about the food, cabins and just about everything else that people were unhappy with.
When I initially booked I simply booked a twin outside cabin but after reading reviews I have paid extra to upgrade cabin on Golden Deck for the 2 weeks - the extra was nearly £400. Now I read that unless you pay the £30 extra I may be moved cabin for the 2nd week!!!
Can anybody tell me whether after paying the extra to upgrade do I still have to pay money to stay in the same cabin for the second week, and, give me any extra info re thhe cruise and ship.
I am really worried about going!!!

| only in extreme circumstances would you be moved.
THe £30 is only to pre book your cabin (as in cabin number) We have lots of clients who want the same cabin or deck as are charged £30 for the service.
When you book your cabin its booked for the duration.
Dont worry about it..
I work for them so i know the situation..
Enjoy your break.

| Hacienda,
Big thank you for your reply. Do you have any further info re state of ship at present as lots of bad reports re decor, dirty or not functioning toilets, poor state fo bathrooms and cold food. I realise this may be difficult for you to answer if you work for them-if so I understand. Maybe anybody else for any info at all.
Thanks.

| I don't know if you have read my review los, but it covers most of your queries. No matter what ship you go on, if you look for faults you will find them. Just go, relax and enjoy yourself. My email address is also on my review, if you have any other questions, please get in touch

| Island Cruises are basically an informal cruise.
It UK owned and geared up for that market.
They can be described as cheap and cheerful and you do get what you pay for.
I have just returned from both the Ventrura and the Eurodam and to be honest I had a much better time with Island.
