| hiya there......can anyone give me information about the archontia studio in kefalos, Kos and what the area is like in general. My sister and her better half are going there in August for their honeymoon. So any information on this would be gratefully appreciated and is there a swimming pool, so they will know what they are letting themselves in for lol. The travel agent reccommended this place, but they have to sell everything ...oops lol . Cheers Lynn :thumleft:

Hi,been to kos last three years, kefalos very peaceful.there is a main road running from kamari to old kefalos town at the top of the hill, this is where the main nite life is which is about 300mtrs from the beach.dont know nothing about your studio just kefalos, the beach is sand and shingle and the sea is very calm as your in a bay surrounded by mountains.their is a car park 50 mtrs from the beach where you can look up to old kefalos village and still see people living in caves on the side of the hill.kefalos does not get very lively,i would recomend a car to get about which last august cost us 85euros(mainly kos the island was very quiet)we stayed in kardamena which was supposed to be very lively, have a :occasion1 good honeymoon and holiday.

| Hi Lynn
Archontia studios are lovely. The owners and their extended family are great too! They are very clean and have a small pool and pool bar serving drinks and snacks. The view is stunning, you could sit there all day. Hope all has a fantastic holiday/honeymoon.
Visit B52 and Marias everyone is extremely friendly. Baywatch watersports great too!
Have fun! :thumleft:

| Archontia Studios has a hill leading up to it where steps used to be. This hill is a pathway leading up to the rooms and car park, pool area and bar. The staff there were friendly and the pool bar was open from 10-10pm offering a good choice of food and drinks. The maids cleaned our room every other day and changed the beds and towels - we were very impressed with the service and will definately like to return to Kefalos and Archontia studios. The studios are about 5 minutes from the beach and if you are lucky you can see the beach from the rooms balcony. All the rooms appear to have either a beach view or the mountain view. We were lucky enough to have a side facing room and we could see the beach and the mountain. I strongly recommend the trips to Turkey for some shopping and the fishing BBQ was a brilliant day out. For cheaper excursions walk to the harbour (about 10min walk) at the end by the boats is a tour company called (something like Iskliposios) and it was much cheaper than other places we had found at Kefalos. The Sydney bar offers live entertainment and is the only place in Kefalos to offer this. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing holiday - this is for you. Kardamena is the place to go for the night life.
