I looked at going to Kerala but in the end Goa won for me. Kelara looks absolutly wonderful and really peaceful compared to Goa. I would just love to chill on the canals on a small boat for a few days.

| Went to Kerala a few years ago and it is beautiful. The food was wonderful if you like Indian food. Perfectly safe at all the shack type eating places on the beach. We didn't suffer any ill effects at all.
Be careful if you go in the sea. We were there during the month of November and the undercurrent is quite fierce.
The local taylors are excellant and very cheap. If you have a favourite garment you would like copying perhaps in a different colour or material, they can do it.
We made good use of the Tuk Tuks (local 3 wheeled taxis) to tour around and sightsee.
Have a great time. The people are lovely.
