Going to holiday in Kos in August hopefully, but as asian member of our group, wondering if anyone out there had any trouble, e.g. picked on for fight for colour....is it as yobbish as places like Faliraki etc?

It really depends where abouts you stay on Kos. Kardamena is now a resort for the young and is rather rowdy. You wouldn't have any problems in Kos town or in the smaller resorts like Mastihari.
If I were you, I would stick to Kos town, it is more cosmopolitan and people are more relaxed there.

Yeah i understand that, but as me and all my friends are 18-19 i want to have good time clubbing and that, with them....which is why i was wondering about Kardamena as well....whats the likelihood of trouble just on basis of colour? Dont wanna ruin the holiday for evryone or anything lol

We've travelled numerous times and never had any problems due to colour or age. Its no different from any where else really, you get idiots everywhere you go! Why would the Greeks be more or less so.

Have been to Kos many times, going again in August. Have never experienced/seen any trouble - although we are in our 40s. Have stayed in Kardamena several times. Very, very little police presence. My son and his mates (all late teens/early twenties and white) went to Kardamena last year - didn't have any problems in Bar Street etc but did get aggro from bouncers in Night Clubs. They had a fantastic time but for this. So guess race/colour has nothing to do with it! If you do go just keep your wits about you if you go into Clubs and be mindful of each other.
