Do Cheap Hotels In Vegas Exist?

Postby leewxm on Fri Sep 01, 2006 11:41 am

HI,
I keep reading holiday reviews where people stayed in Circus Circus or Stratosphere or any hotel in Las Vegas for just $40 per room per night etc.
However when I price them on the web they are all at least double and often more again.
How do you get such deals? Wait until last minute? Phone them and barter? Any suugestions? We actually need 8 nights in November so it is a substantial booking and cost.

Thanks for any advice

Lee

Look in Cheapovegas or simply Google Vegas and you will get the official website. Otherwise Choice Hotels, Budget Suites.,Candlewood suites. Hawthorn Suites. Cheapovegas gives a lot of good info for places to stay. I wouldn't advise downtown area as it is a bit iffy. Perfectly safe but not as smart as strip. Hotels away from strip may be cheaper and if not within walking distance then bus travel in Vegas is safe. Get a $5 day pass on bus . It will pay for itself. Look up CAT for bus routes and maps One terminal downtown and one South of airport. Chain hotels can be booked over internet. Some of the STATION Hotels e.g Sunset Station are good although that particular one is a good bus ride out and you can do without that if only staying 1 week I think Terribles often has cheap rooms and is on a bus route. Best of luck. We have been going for 25 years and this year gave it a miss but am longing to get back:)

Try Vegas.com. November is quite a busy time so rooms are more expensive at that time of year but you may get the stratosphere or sahara for about 50$ or 55$ (costs more at weekends). Good luck

Try La Quinta Inn. Right on the strip next to major hotels. Check their web site for deals.

hi,
Yes we have had some great deals on hotels in or around Las Vegas Not many deals over the weekends but midweek you can find them. Try hotels off the Strip or like we did last year and stayed out of Vegas for 2 nights for about $25 or less per night for a nice room in Bufflow Bills 20 miles south , we were going that way and had a look arount that area including Kelso Dunes and The Mojave Preserve a great desert area. Try to avoid any conventions as the price goes way up.
Regards and have a good trip.
