Last year we stayed on Lesvos with a lovely Greek family (www.diamanti-molyvos.co.uk) who lost their income when Golden Sun went broke. They are having to go it alone this year, but we understand that all the tour companies are stopping using the smaller apartments and studios in favour of more mohappy toels.
We don't go to Greece for this. I would be very happy to have your views.

Hi ted32,
if you add a review of the property here...
http://www.holidaywatchdog.com/Submit-H ... views.html
we'll add the property to Holiday Watchdog.
You can also point them in the direction of holidaylease.com
http://www.holidaylease.com/
they can also add their property there for free.
Does sound a bit rough on the smaller apartment owners, anything we can do to help let us know!

Re: Help wanted
Thanks a million.
That's more than I dared hope for. I will do both of the things you suggested. They are a lovely family with apartments in a glourious postion in Molyvos but they don't have access to the internet which may prove very difficult for them to compete. Nevertheless I've made them a basic web-site and I hope that some small travel agents will realise that this will appeal to a large percentage of people who go to Greece.
Bless you for your advice

Re: Help wanted
Hi
Will let guests coming to Icmeler know of this apartment if they are thinking of Greece/Greek Islands.
It is true that the larger companies do not want to contract small hotels and apartments they are looking to contract to larger hotels and apartments as advertising costs are high for small apartments and hotels. I also think this is a shame as family run, small and friendly accommodation beats five star 400 bedroom accommodation anyday!! The personal touch is always best.
Hope they find lots of guests.

Hi ted32,
Try adding some more info to your listing on Holiday Lease
http://www.holidaylease.com/Rental-Property-64.html
. Some people like to see info straight away rather than being pointed to another location.
Cheers

Thank you very much for your advice. I'm new to this and I'm not sure what would attract visitors and what would bore the pants off them. Nevertheless I'll get working on it. Many thanks
