Anestis apts help me please!

I just booked my summer holiday in Rhodes, the Anestis apts in Lindos. I heard about this site and read up to see what they are like. The reviews are pretty poor, they are filthy and small. I have booked two studios for me and hubby and my 2 teenage sons. Does this mean I have to lose my 400 deposit or can I do something

Hi just looked at the reviews...and yes they do look bad I agree. I've been to Lindos about 10 times (I've lost count) and have never stayed in the same acommodation twice and although most of the rooms there are pretty basic I've only ever had cause to ask to move rooms once(through a ****** infestation) which was confined to one room in a block as it turned out. Once (2000 I think) I stayed in a very small room which I think was this room at the Anestis! True it was very hot and just a little cramped.I don't remember it being particularly dirty and next to it there was some steps to the one of the best roof terrace views in the village! I should imagine you would only be allocated this room for a one week stay but maybe you should contact the agents before you go and request a different room or even accomodation. Having said that I would think it would be more than adequate for a couple of teenage boys and as there is 4 of you travelling you will be getting 2 rooms or a much larger room? Good luck and I hope you get to enjoy your holiday anyway

Which tour operator have you booked with?
Depending on the operator there might be somewhere else you could transfer to.
I am very sympathetic with your concerns although I have never had a problem in Lindos and have been going for the past six years.
Try not to worry as there are often isolated incidents - I have not heard many bad reports about Lindos at all. Sometimes people get a bee in their bonnet when things weren't as bad as they make out!

Hi there
Did you book with Libra? If so we stayed at Anestis last year and sadly I have to say they were the worst accomodation have ever stayed in in Lindos, though on the upper floors the terrace is huge with great views of Acropolis, inside the door was hanging of the wardrobe, the fridge wasn't cold enough to keep things freash for very long and the bathroom cabinate was filthy (water had collected in the drawers and gone green and slimey), but I cleaned up and disinfected everywhere and made the best of it, it didn'r spoil the holiday or a very beautiful village. If you are unlucky enough to get lower floor studios, well then I would definitely change, the rooms were tiny one didn't have any windows and the toilet was across the courtyard which was so tiny you could only sit 2 people in it and it was constantly in the shade from the upper floors.
