Lindos Gardens

I have just read a review on this site ref Lindos Gardens. I know everyone has their own ideas & opinions but I don't know what E Wild was expecting lets face it, it is Greece & Greece is very basic unless you go in a 4/5 star hotel. We have been to Lindos Gardens 3 times and are going back in 3 weeks time (I am fussy & wouldn't go if it was as bad as this person has said) Regarding furniture ie no dining table or chairs or settee HELLO you are on holiday were you expecting to give a dinner party? As for the catering facilities again this is greece I have known some places not even have a kettle you have to boil a saucepan. As for the smell I expect it was due to selfish people putting toilet paper down the toilet instead of the bins provided. I always leave 1/2 empty bottle etc for the maids + a tip they do not get paid very much so a little "gift" is not too much to ask. The beds are Lindian beds & should have said so in the brochure. The owners at Lindos Gardens work hard out of season to make it a better place each year (when we first went there was only a small bar and the pool at the bottom and less rooms. RANT OVER please go with the majority reviews .this is a good place to go.

All reviews are subjective to the person writing them. Some people have a really good holiday and some not so good. Sometimes the overall holiday is what they are reviewing and not the hotel.

Remember this is a hotel review site.

You're quite right, people should make a balanced decission on all the reviews not just one bad one.

Well said! I have also been to the Lindos Gardens and loved the place. I guess that E Wild really didn't know what to expect from Greece, I have been to a variety of hotels in Greece and yes they are basic, but the Lindos Gardens are perfectly clean, well maintained and the people go out of their way to make you feel as welcome as possible! (To me, that makes the perfect holiday.)
As for the beds, Lindian or not, how many british people sleep on beds that lie on top of wooden slats? I know I do! Finally I think that if the maids did leave useful items like washing up liquid, shampoo etc, E Wilde would complain about the rooms not being cleaned properly between occupants!
I'm back there in 2 weeks, may see you there.
