Hi

Can anyone give us any info on trips to turkey from rhodes? Is it worth a trip over or can anyone recommend any other trips?

Thanks

hi, i have just been reading a travel book from library and it says you can go by boat about 2 hours, quicker by hydrofoil. you go to marmaris. don't know the price it just says it is expensive.
taxes are included from greece but you have to pay an entry tax when you get to turkey. i think the tax was about ten pounds when we were in turkey about two years ago.
if you plan on staying overnight in turkey you will need to check your airline ticket because if you have gone to rhodes on a charter flight your ticket will be made void on returning to greece. your ok on a scheduled flight. some in turkey will stamp a piece of paper as opposed to your passport but not all will so beware as it could prove very costly.
there is a free paper found in newsagents and tourist info places in rhodes that have all bus/ferry timetables and local events that may be useful to you. it is called rodos news. hope it helps. excursion boats from rhodes town daily to marmaris throughout summer.

We did the trip to Marmaris from Rhodes 2 years ago. Never again. The traders were so rude. Even grab your arm to pull you into their shops. If you do go DONT go on the coach trip. Its a rip off. Just do your own thing.
