First time in makadi. What is the best currency to bring i.e pounds euro or egyptian pounds

In our experience (4 trips) we've found it best to take a little local currency & change the rest from sterling to local once there; better rate of exchange. Tip in �1 coins till you get local denominations (they will save them & ask a tourist to exchange) or tip in dollar bills.
