My Profile 		Just back from Langkawi and already planning another trip to Malaysia. Would like to visit Sabah and especially the Sepilok Orang Utan Santuary. Have been reading up as much as poss but still not sure where exactly would be a good place to stay to enable us to create the type of holiday we would like. It would be good to be based close to a lovely beach but also not too far to be able to get to the santuary in a day. Sandokan seems poss a good choice but not sure if there are good beaches there. Which would be the best East or West side for the coast? Any advice or recommendations for mid-price hotel acommodation would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Just found your posting so if you're interested in going to Sabah, we've stayed at the Shangri-La Tanjung Aru twice and loved it. Second time even managed to upgrade to a suite for an extra £32 per night!!
Great food, friendly people, fantastic spa and great to visiting the islands nearby.
