I have looked into this and have never been able to get it cheaper than the deals I have booked with tour operators. I am going in 10 days and for 2 weeks on an all inclusive basis at a four star resort including sea plane transfers cost me just 1,050 pp. When looking to book independantly it was over 800 pp for the flight and sea plane transfer alone.

Hi,
I booked mine with Hayes and Jarvis. I would also look at First Choice or Eclipsedirect depending on what island you want to visit.

Hi have just returned from the maldives, if you can book with first choice the seating on there planes is great they have taken out 55 seats for long haul flights so lots of room , they are goood on price also and will match or beat any like for like, please go all inclusice as is expensive otherwise, plane transfers are great but not all do them , depends how far you will be from Male the capital, bont take booze in with you as this will be taken from you on arrival , as is a Muslim country. Hve also re booked with First Coice again so that says something, also if you want any further info just get in touch.
Cheers

Gary,
We have been going to the Maldives for 14 years now, and the cheapest option is to book with a tour operator as a package.
First choice palnes are the best we have used so far, but Thompson have just introduced their new longhaul planes -standard is same as first choice (33inch seat pitch), but their premuim seats are 37 inch.
Book with Portland direct, Eclispe or first choice- but they all do different islands so it depends which island you want to stay on, who you book with. - Mary

Maldives is a great place, i have just returned from 2 weeks on "Summer Island"
Someone asked what the weather is like in May..dont worry, its not the monsoon season, that starts sept time i think. Ave temp in May about 30' i reckon.
SUmmer Island is a great place, not busy at all, and not a great deal to do nut walk around the island, relax by the bar or sunbathe, if thats what you want, its the place for you!

Hi, I'm planning 5 nights in the Maldives early November before heading to Sri Lanka. I'm not sure which island to go to. Can anyone tell me what some of the best ones to go to are? We are both scuba divers so thats one consideration for us. Any help would be appreciated. thanks.
