| Has anyone recently visited this hotel - I can only find reviews from 2 years plus. Would be interested to know of anyone this year.

| Yes i visited the Marina Corfu on 22nd May 2007 to 5th June 2007. Was a bit worried at first as as single mum with a fourteen year old son. But we had a brilliant holiday. The Marina Corfu is slightly nosier as the entertainment is now outside as we are in the Summer season and the Corfu block is right in front of it .If you want quiter nights book the Skorpios as that block overlooks the sea. We stayed in the Corfu and did not mind the noise from the entertainment as it finished at 12 midnight. The deal we went on was with Direct Holidays and booked all inclusive saving me a lot money. Food right from breakfast through lunch to evening dinner was always varied, Carvery a few nights but always plenty of choice even if you are a fussy eater.With a childrens buffet for the little ones on the evenings. Food such as ice creams ,ice lollies, sandwiches burgers chips baguttes,soft drinks tea, and achocol were served from the pool bar from 10-00am till 6pm, so u never went thirsty or hungry. Hotel was very clean and the staff could not do enough for u. Maids changed towels ect everyday.The childrens entertainment team Steff Paulo Alberto Katie kept everybody entertained every day with various competitions for children and adults Water Polo Pistol shooting ect .Night time was childrens disco Bingo and then the evening entertainment for the adults though children are welcome to watch.A very full on holiday which was made all the better for the weather we only had a few showers the whole fornight we were there.HOPE THIS HELPS IF U ARE THINKING OF BOOKING

| Thanks for that - We have booked for August and was a little worried after reading some very negative reports!! We are not sure until we arrive which hotel we will be placed in, would you recommend one more than the other?

| We visited these hotels on 5th May 2007 (family of 9) for a week. The hotels are situated either side of a pretty bay. We actually stayed in the Skorpios. Really enjoyed the holiday - wished we'd booked for two weeks! Food was really good, plenty of snacks available from the poolside bar. Daily entertainment for the kids around the pool - brilliant! Staff friendly. Rooms clean. Around a 30 minute pleasant walk in to Cala D'or. Everybody in our party really enjoyed this holiday especially my 3 year old daughter who loved the entertainment. The age range of our party was from 3 years to 63 years and we all had a lovely time. We would all definately go back!! The one and only, very slight, drawback - there were a few steps down to the pool - alittle awkward with a pushchair!! But this didn't spoil the holiday at all! No regrets about booking this holiday at all!

| We will be visiting the Marina Corfu/Skorpios in July 07.
Just wondered what the difference between the two hotels are as the tour operator has advised that we may be allocated in either,
Which one is best? and does anyone have any video clips, I can't seem to locate any on the web.

| I am actually going on holiday there tomorrow.. so seeing this reveiws has made me feel all that better about it!
We booked through go2spain.com and never have before or heard of anyone who has, so we're just hoping it all turns out ok, although we have rang to check and also appear to be placed in the Corfu hotel - that was the one we had to ring to.
It's nice to see these reveiws, I'm hoping we'll ahve a great time! How was the food? Much to do for teenagers? I am 14 myself and my younger brother is 11... :)

| Been in this hotel twice going agen in August. When we were there it was superb entertainment during the day and at night were fantastic. The food was great always a good choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Looking for my holiday in August; trust me it is really good.

Booked Oct 06 for Skorpios on recommendation of family from previous year and was given Corfu 48 hours before travelling due to end of season early shutting of Skorpios. Was very upset at time and took edge off travelling to be honest. However we had a superb time at Corfu and have booked by request to stay again for 2007.
Family inc 18 yr daughter and 12 year old son at the time. Absolutely the only down side was if you wanted an early night or to put young kids to bed you probably wont get a wink until midnight. Everything goes off at that time though like someone turned off the light switch and the peaceful location means you are not putting up with folks into the early hours or from the general resort. But hey, the kids are on holiday and the entertainment includes all ages. Give them late afternoon nap and keep them up at night.
Restaurant had lovely views of bay and poolside and the location is really charming. Food totally satisfactory and you would have to be a real whiner not to be able to put a nice meal together from any of the buffets we had served. The restaurant drinks machine is filled with tap water by the way which creates the various juice drinks so keep a stock in your fridge upstairs if this is a problem.
Jelly fish come in the bay so take all in one surfer type suits for young kids if likely to go in sea not just pool.

| Myself and my Fiance returned from hotel Marina Skorpios on sat 24th may 2008 after a weeks stay. We had a lovely time, the hotel was modern and clean although i did find the floor in the room to be constantly dusty, we had fresh towels daily but i dont think we had fresh bedding. we had a great view over the beach and sea and the staff were extreemly friendly and helpful. A good example of this is as we arrived at 8.40pm and the buffet was closing at 9.00pm the receptionist gave us our wrist bands and suggested that we go for something to eat before checking in. I did find the food a little repetative towards the end of the week but this was not a problem as we simply went to a restuarant in cala d'or or cala egos that are not too far way. There was fresh fruit daily. There is a little train that takes you into cala d'or, however we thought it was free only to find out that it is 6 euros each and a taxi during the day is 5.50 euros and between 6-7 euros in the evening. An excellent place to eat in cala egos (which is the nearest village) is the ranch themed one, excellent stakes. The resort is ideal for familys and an extreemly relaxing holiday, excellent value for money. Also, there is a show called pirates that is actually based in magaluff, we booked it though the hotel as it was cheaper than with our tour operator, however, we were the first people to be picked up and it took 2.5 hours to get there! Also if you do book it, dont bother getting the V.I.P tickets there really isnt any difference in the tables and isnt worth the extra money. I hope you also enjoy your holiday there. x

| we did not go swimming in the pools as we chose to spend our time on the beach, this is cold until you get yourselfgoing. At the beach you do also have to pay for sun loungers
