Has anybody heard of or used the above website to book a holiday in Majorca?
They appear to be based in Spain.

Never heard of them.

One I can recommend is www.escape2majorca.com which is based right here in Alcudia and has over 100 properties. Though they only cover Pollensa, Alcudia, and C'an Picafort.

For other areas I would type "name of resort" followed by "villas" into any search engine.

With reply to your query about IrentMyvilla.com, we went last year to Pollensa, Villa Can Noble, in La Font area, one week, in October. We booked through IrentMyVilla request form. To us it was very good; it was easy and cheap, direct to owner, who speaks English. We had a great holiday and will definitely go back. The house was wonderful, nice garden, near the Pollensa old Town. If you go into irentmyvilla website you will get big photos.

I also checked this one out, in fact I did more than that, my neighbour has a cottage he puts on the web for summer lets.

I put this on (with his permission) but no-one checked up on who I was. It would be very easy for anyone to write anything.

Stick to escape2majorca who I know inspect their villas throughly before advertising them

we used irentmyvilla.com last year and spent two fantastic weeks in the most brilliant villa in puerto pollenca. it was very easy to use and put us in touch with the owners who we kept in touch with by email and telephone. we were dubious about it at first even down to paying the owners in cash on arrival but have since found out this seems to be the norm! the owner spoke good english and was always at the end of a mobile telephone if we should need her for anything. the villa was swept outside daily and the pool cleaned daily,all done before we had even got out of bed!! we are back for another 2 weeks again this year.
