Howard Johnson Diplomat Hotel

hi im staying at the howard johnson diplomat hotel for 2wks at the end of july 2007. Has any1 stayed there lately as after booking im reading quite a few bad reviews about this hotel and really regretting booking it now. Also does any1 know if id be able to ring the company i booked with and ask to upgrade to a different hotel....can you do this??? please help x
